The "No Surprises Act" means you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of your care. This is a document that outlines the expected cost of non-emergency health care items or services if you are paying out-of-pocket or not using insurance.
This estimate can include:
Therapy or counseling sessions
Related services, like assessments or tests
Any applicable fees for equipment or materials
You can request a Good Faith Estimate from your provider (like us) or any other provider before you schedule a session. We will provide a new estimate each year for the expected cost of sessions for that calendar year.
If your final bill ends up being $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.
Important: Keep a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
